BPF Steering Group - what does it do?

The steering group is made up of key professionals related to property and construction, nearly all from the private sector, with representation from the council's asset management and regeneration teams.  The group meets monthly  to consider the success (or otherwise) of the most recent event, look at how the Forum can provide information/opportunities to its members, and bring in the right speakers on the right topics to ensure that happens.

Chaired by Andrew Mason of Newmason Properties, the monthly breakfast meetings also considers who else the Forum needs to be working with to get regeneration and other property developments back up to speed.

Occasional sub-groups emerge to either respond to policy consultations or find out more information that might help BPF members.  Examples include affordable housing, listed buildings, planning obligations and the Canal Road corridor.

Through steering group members, the Forum is represented on other bodies, including Bradford District Partnership's communications group and an infrastructure sub-committee of the Yorkshire Economic Delivery Group set up by Minister for Yorkshire Rosie Winterton.
