Housing problem identified

It points out that people are being priced out of the market, with average earnings equalling £18,500 but the average house price is £142,000.  The problem is compounded when we learn that only 900 new homes have been built in each of the last six years.  With the local population said to be growing faster than anywhere outside London, this amounts to a serious worry for local decision-makers.

The problem becomes acute when affordable housing in particular is considered.  Read more on this topic here from the T&A website.
