Grants for apprentices - until end of March

Employers are being encouraged to take on more apprentices with the offer a £2,500 grant if the new starter can be in work by the end of March.
The grant, aimed at smaller sized businesses, is for those taking on 16 and 17 year olds that are currently unemployed. More information is available from the National Apprenticeship Service on 08000 150 600 or go online here.
Larger employers can also be supported, as long as it can be demonstrated that they are over-training to support smaller employers in their supply chain.
