Decision time for park scheme

Bradford is on the short-list for a share in Big Lottery funding needed to kick-start the city centre Park at the Heart scheme.

The £24 million bid will, if successful, change the face of the city. An important part of the 10-acre scheme (although not planned for the early stages) is a Business Forest, creating a high quality mixed-use scheme within an attractive landscaped environment and extra public space. It will consist of office accommodation with some leisure and residential space.

The park will create a more defined, high-value business and financial services sector, attracting visitors and investors, and raising land values.
