Bradford goes back to MIPIM (posted 19 Feb '10)
Bradford will work with other West Yorkshire local authorities at this year’s MIPIM property fair in France .
Previous working with Leeds is extended this time to include Calderdale, Kirklees and Wakefield under the Leeds City Region banner.
The annual event in Cannes from 16-19 March receives thousands of property professionals, and a dedicated ‘Team Bradford’ to push home the benefits of bringing new investment into the District. The event attracts developers, financiers, surveyors and property consultants as well as public sector agenies looking for inward investment.
The collaboration follows a partnership between Leeds and Bradford at MIPIM 2009 and the granting of Leeds City Region status by central government.
The five local authorities will be using their presence at MIPIM to promote the advantages and offer of the Leeds City Region as a location for business and investment. They will also promote flagship projects such as Bradford's City Park and Southgate projects, as well as the Leeds Arena and new Hepworth Art Gallery in Wakefield.
